Buildings & Grounds: Tom Becker reported on the following: Pools – had a few issues, they have been
resolved. Heat is almost back to normal. Will start having pool committee
meetings – it will follow the rules & regulation committee meeting. Start 2
– 2:30pm, first Monday of each month. Pools are costing a lot of money. Our
guys are checking the levels to see how chemicals are. The challenger pool was
patched between 3 – 4 years ago. Every time we call Fiber Tech we are not
receiving return calls. Tom has called a few places to get prices to resurface,
estimates around $38,400 (sand and resurface fiberglass pool) just in case.
Warranty on this will be a year only, doesn’t know how Fiber Tech repaired it
last time. Tom also reported about the roof. Dodge Report put a letter on that
site – all letters were to be sent in by March 1st. They meet to
submit their bids by March 7th, haven’t heard anything as of yet.
Architectural: Jim Glynn reported on the following:
He has had a few requests, minor landscaping, etc. There are things

at 6pm.
CAP:
Karen Grant reported the following:
There is a meeting on March 17th for CAP members to see
Sheriff’s office and more. Marcia will be setting up self-defense class. No
problems in Polo Park, but there have been problems in neighboring
neighborhoods, especially in Bimini Bay. So please lock your doors. There will
be a weapon’s class coming up for CAP members only, but the sheriff’s office
does advertise on their website.
Old Business: None
New Business: Ken asked if the ARC had a committee, Karen stated that this will be
addressed in the President’s Report.
President’s Report: Karen Grant reported the following:
·
165 Jackson Park
went to auction, sold for $96,000 – should hear by end of week or next week
information from court who bought it and when we should receive money. There
are 2 more houses going on auction.
·
Woodshed has new
keys – door has been left unlocked and open. It now has a steel door, to use
you will have to go to office and sign for key and when you are done you are to
return the key to the office. Things have been returned broken and no one has
told it was broken.
·
RV – They will be
securing the compound area.
·
Bake Sale – Made
over $1,000. They will be holding it again in the fall.
·
Audit – The
accountant will be doing audit next week. Once completed, the report will be in
the front office for anyone to view. The last 4 years will also be available.
·
Packets will be
sent out after March 1st for new homeowners. Please fill out
emergency contact page and a copy of your license. Also, register your golf
cart at the pro shop. If there is anything else that needs to be addressed,
please let Karen know.
·
Karen met with
some real estate agents and they were less than enthusiastic in going over the
rules and regulations to buyers. Re-Max and Bardell and Webb Realty are the
most used, since they live in Polo Park. Karen went into a house for sale and
asked the agent what kind of community this is and they knew nothing about the
park. Kathy and Jeri do give agents a copy of the rules and regulations if they
come into the office.
·
Karen attended
the meeting for rules and regulations, she really liked what she saw, gave her
idea for ARC. Hard for one person to do, going to suggest the ARC form a
committee to help out. Nancy and Lori met and came up with a binder with
colors, etc. Going to show board members.
·
New keys have
been made for the kitchen. Barb Dundore will be
giving out keys. Locks have been changed in Challenger clubhouse; refrigerator,
freezers and storerooms. Had a kitchen meeting and this came up. Made a wish
list and going through everything.
·
Mary Chaney asked
if Rules and Regulations have been approved by lawyer. Karen is waiting for the
last item (covenants). Everyone will get a copy old/new homeowners. Karen
Whittaker asked if there will be a price to get another copy if homeowners need
one. The first copy will be free, if you need another there will be a cost.
Luann Dobosz will put it on the website once it is approved. Gary Mohler will
help with the changes. There will be a power point presentation in regard to
changes.
·
Tammy Mayberry
wanted to thank those who baked for tonight’s meeting. Still needs some cookies
for the next 3 months.
·
Karen stated that
is seems like there is a select group of people who are always volunteering. So
please think about volunteering, 1 day a month, 1 hour a day, etc. The older
ones are getting tired. There are things that need help with, please ask. It
helps cut costs for things in park.
Karen Grant made a motion
to adjourn the meeting, Tony Mahoney seconded the motion and all were in favor.
Meeting adjourned.
Respectfully Submitted,
Robin Husted, Recording
Secretary
